Financial support is one way Symetra does its part, but at the heart of all the community-building activities is an enthusiastic employee engagement. Symetra encourages employees to participate as involved partners.

Community Involvement Committee

Symetra's Community Involvement Committee (CIC) is an employee led group that cares passionately about making a difference for those in our community. Members of the CIC choose which organizations they like to contribute to and volunteer their time. Learn more about how the CIC gets involved.

Creating a Community Culture

The company supports employees through three unique giving programs, including:

  • Matching Gift program.
    Symetra will match dollar for dollar donations of $25 or more to charitable organizations, for a cumulative total of $500 per employee, per year.
  • Matching Time program.
    For employees that donate a minimum of 25 volunteer hours to their favorite charity, Symetra will donate a matching grant at the rate of $10 per volunteer hour - up to a cumulative annual total of $500 per participant, per year.
  • Employee Giving program.
    A payroll deduction plan that supports the United Way and its member agencies as well as the Arts Fund.
